As the school year comes to a close, summer begins. Life is a series of beginnings and
endings, new adventures, and seasons of change. As parents we will experience many
beginnings and endings on our journey. One important thought to dwell on is to not let an
ending stop you from enjoying a new beginning.
When we end a season or time in our life it can be bittersweet. Sometimes we want to hold
on to a time we enjoyed. That can cause us to sometimes miss a brand-new beginning. New
beginnings can be hard but also exciting. By embracing new seasons with a positive
attitude, we can help our children to embrace it too. New beginnings can be scary for
children of all ages, so it is important that they feel secure. If we are positive, they will
feel that as well.
New friends, a new school, new teachers, a new sports team, a move to a new house, are all
endings and beginnings. We leave the old and start the new. Creating new memories, and
focusing on moving forward, growth, and embracing changes that come help to make our
children adapt and grow.
As school ends and summer begins focus on the new season and embrace the changes ahead
with a positive outlook, bringing joy and happiness to the days ahead.
